Gilles Street Market

Studded headband from Ebay, American Apparel crop tee & accordian skirt, Asos brogues, Forever New belt
Hi there.
This is once again, another overdue post that I was meant to write about weeks ago. Call me lazy. Nevertheless, this was the final outcome of Cathy, Diana and my stall at the Gilles Street Market. It was our first time doing something like this and thus, we did not know what to expect.

The week began with us going around numerous stores simply trying to buy some clothes racks. Strangely, it was no where to be seen until we finally came across it in Big W. The night before the markets, I accidentally pulled an all-nighter because I could not sleep. I blame the holidays for this one. We came there quite early to start the usual setup process and came to the realisation that everyone had a gazebo but us. It was actually a  terrifying thought when I felt a few droplets of rain during preparation of the stall. I mean, I could not imagine how the day would have resulted if it actually rained. Immediately, we were luckily able to get a gazebo installed for us at the very last minute. I'm so glad we did it though because the afternoon was scorching hot. So hot to be honest that I became physically and mentally exhausted. (I think all of us were actually haha) and I would probably have been burnt by the sun.
However overall, it was a wonderful experience and we were really surprised that many people actually came to our stall! Thanks to anyone who popped by to have a quick visit and browse through our stuff.

If you were wondering, it was my first time pulling a proper all-nighter and I seriously died by 4pm. I was all fine until then. At that time, I had to quickly pack up and leave for a dance rehearsal and I literally was about to fall asleep on the ground when watching the other dancers dance. I don't think I ever want to go through that again.

(and if you want to keep reading further..)
I don't often talk much about my outfits, as I usually allow the images to speak for itself. At the same time,  people like me often get curious to why people choose to pair certain pieces together.
Sooooooooooooo... Lately, I've been in a mad rush with what I wear and do not have the opportunity to thoroughly plan many outfits. Hence, my go-to pieces are definitely ALL of my American Apparel items.  Whilst it can be deemed expensive, I lust over the whole store. I love every single piece it has to offer and their items suit with almost everything in my wardrobe. I felt that wearing the mint Asos shoes gave the outfit a different contrast and I needed to wear something flat!

Omg, I accidentally wrote a crazy amount tonight. I hope I didn't bore anyone! xo

I haven't been to Gilles Street Markets in a while - I miss it! And I love American Apparel! It really is expensive, but you can wear the clothes in so many ways. I have quite a few items I wanna get from there *sigh*

Hey Jody, I actually love reading long blog entries. Continue writing more. The more the better! And by the way, just so you know, you made a mistake in your blog entry.

Looks fun! I haven't heard of any similar type markets in my area, but my university had one with local vendors and shops every quarter.

Your outfit is gorgeous as usual ! I love American Apparel too, but sometimes my wallet hurts over spending $50 on a simple hoodie. Oh well, the simple necessities!
